How to take ALUNBRIG

ALUNBRIG may be taken with or without food

ALUNBRIG should be taken once daily at the same time each day


Grapefruit and grapefruit juice should be avoided during treatment

Schedule or calendar

Patients should be advised that if they vomit after taking ALUNBRIG, they should not take any more tablets until the next scheduled dose

Glass with water

Tablets should be swallowed whole and with water

Starting patients on ALUNBRIG

  • When starting patients on ALUNBRIG, ensure they are supplied with the Patient Alert Card
  • ALUNBRIG is available in 180 mg, 90 mg, and 30 mg tablets

Recommended dose modifications for adverse reactions1

For 90 mg once daily (starting dose)
1st Reduce to 60 mg once daily
2nd Permanently discontinue
For 180 mg once daily
1st Reduce to 120 mg one daily
2nd Reduce to 90 mg once daily
3rd Reduce to 60 mg once daily

If patients cannot tolerate the 60 mg once-daily dose, discontinue ALUNBRIG permanently1
